College can be really busy! Running to campus lectures, cramming for tests, planning activities not to mention the hours spent studying - all of this together can make it difficult to eat as healthy as you would like. That is where smoothies come in! They are a favorite of mine (especially on the go) and a great way to get the vitamins and minerals to keep your mind and body healthy.

Found a great low price on single smoothie maker .. Hamilton Beach Personal Blender

Or for a more modern blender option ... Redmond Blender with Portable Option

The best part is that you do not have to be in college to love these tasty recipes!

Pink Drink Smoothie: ½ frozen banana, ½ small beet, ½ frozen raspberries, 1 cup pineapple, 1 cup spinach leaves, 1 cup strawberries, 1 tbsp chia seeds, coconut milk (until desired consistency)

Green Dream Smoothie: 2-3 cups spinach+kale, 1 frozen banana, 1 cup frozen mango, 1 cup frozen pineapple, 1 tsp lemon juice, 1 cup water, optional add ons: Matcha powder or your favorite protein powder

Blue Hue Smoothie: 1 cup frozen bananas, 2 cups frozen mangos,½ cup kiwi, ½ cup blue spirulina, ¾ cup almond milk

Pro Tip! When making your own smoothies you can use a frozen banana to get a nice cold smoothie with some extra potassium!
